This book was amazing. I'm a SUPER nerd. I read quiet the bit and I haven't read a book in its entirety that's outside the genre of personal development in 5 years. This is my first book I committed to and finished. It was really page turning from the first page and the last. It deals with the mind and psychology through relationships. You will have some "oh no you didn't" moments and some"OMG" MOMENTs! ITS EXTREMELY RELATABLE AND you go through a LOT of twist and turns. It's not obvious. You MUST pay attention! Simple and easy to understand but miss a little detail and you'll get lost. I had to reread stuff to make sure I was clear in my mind was going on. It had me question why things were happening. Why the character felt that way.. Etc... Etc. I can't imagine if someone actually went through these events how emotional it would be for you. It's amazing. I read a lot and I don't commit to a lot of books if any outside of personal development but this I did. I can't wait for a movie because from beginning to end that's what I kept seeing is a movie.
MOURNING • DOVE 🐣
It's amazing how God reveals himself in the most brilliant ways.
Yesterday I lost a family member to cancer. I was so heartbroken and cried immensely. I got home and decided to sit on my balcony and clear my mind. When I opened the door, I stumbled upon "Shifting In Progress" this bird who had laid eggs.
At first I wanted it to be gone...as I had no desire to have any animals or bugs in my living space. I started reaching out to pest control to have it removed until someone shared that it was a MOURNING DOVE and it was completely harmless.
I write this post I am still in awe that after death, God showed me life being born by the mourning dove.
So as my patio furniture arrives, I will sit with my new God sent angel until they are hatched, grown and able to spread their wings and fly!
RIP MOMMY MERLYN...thank you for showing me that you're alright up there. 🙏🏾

What are your plans for the weekend?
Met Carl Thomas after one his concerts when he came to New York City. He is by far one of my favorite voices of all time. He personifies that soul we've came to love in modern R&B music. Funny tho. I ran into him almost randomly a few months ago when I was working. I had the most amazing conversation with him about music. He was telling me about his journey as an artist. He mentored that his deal with Puff/Bad Boy records was his FOURTH record deal. He'd been signed and dropped by three other labels prior to any of us knowing his music. He reminded me that you've gotta be in it to win it. Talking to him that day was like talking to a really cool music professor who has toured the world and lived a life worthy of a movie. In a way, I guess that's what he is. And he was funny as hell! Connecting with him that day reminded me that I have to get back to the music. The music I thought I lost. What's crazy? I met several music industry professionals in a short span of time. I've crossed paths with Crystal Aikin (Sunday Best winner from season one), Patti LaBelle's current band and background singers, one of which is a good acquaintance of mine, Keyshia Cole, Chante Moore, Monifah, Stephanie Mills, Carl Thomas, En Vogue, Boyz II Men, and the songwriter who wrote "Empire State of Mind" for Alicia Keys and Jay-Z. Her name escapes me at the moment. A few years ago, I called myself walking away from music to focus on just being an author who acts occasionally. But then I started running into people like this. And they would each share something meaningful with me. As I began to connect the dots, I once again realized that one of my callings in life would be music. Whether I wanted it or not. So I'm back. rnbsinger #actor#author#voiceovertalent#music#vocals#hesingstoo#nyc#harlem#thisiswhatido#noautotune#luthervandross#ericbenet#joethomasmusic#carlthomas#druhillmusic#cafewha#thevillageunderground#cherylpepsiiriley#nycopenmics#carlthomas#carlthomasmusic#bbkingsnyc

@vanessarosales_ @vanessarosales_ @vanessarosales_ #mujeresvestidas#mujeresvestidas#mujeresvestidas#mujeresvestidas#writer#colombianwriter#cartagena#nyc#parsons#parsonsthenewschoolfordesign#parsonsschoolofdesign#bookstagram#book#bookblogger#bookcover#book#fashionstudy#fashionstudies#writersofinstagram#writerscommunity#writersofig#author#moda#modacolombiana#feminist
