Home gym night!  I have to admit...I wasn't  feeling it tonight.  Having taken my rest days though, I went anyway.  As always, I'm so glad I did!  I always love the post workout feeling, even when I'm exhausted.  Tonight I did: 3 x 15 @ 55# seated rows / 10 @ 55# lat pull downs / 10 per leg @ 10# assisted reverse lunge.  I did focus on retracting my scapula and keeping my knee in the correct position.  Ended doing 1/2 mile 10 min treadmill walk at 15 incline. Belive it or not most times you get food poisoning from your rice!  Therefor keep leftover rice in the fridge after you’re done enjoying your dish ASAP. It should keep you safe from food poisoning. 
cooking rice doesn’t necessarily kill all the pathogens that may be lurking about. “The issue with rice is that one pathogen, Bacillus cereus, is quite prevalent in dried rice (some sources say ubiquitous), likely as spores. The spores may survive cooking. If cooked rice is subsequently held at room temperature, the spores can come out of their protective form, germinate, and vegetative forms multiply. The cooked rice environment provides a lot of water and nutrients for growth. As a by-product of growth, they create a couple of toxins, including a heat-stable one.

Boiled rice should “either be kept hot” (above 63° C/145.4°F) or “cooled quickly and transferred to a refrigerator within 2 hours of cooking.” In fact, the most dangerous temperature zone for rice to hang out in is “room temperature to warm” range (15-50° C/59-122°F). Beyond refrigerating any home-cooked rice, a sense of vigilance is helpful when dining out. So choose the places you eat carefully.
Do note that  Sushi rice,  shouldn’t be a problem as vinegar is added to lower the pH, allowing it to be held safely at room temperature.

In short, the best way to keep yourself and your loved ones safe from Bacillus cereus and the havoc it wreaks is to refrigerate any leftovers within two hours of cooking, and check with your favorite rice-serving restaurants to find out how they prepare and store each batch. After all, rice is supposed to help your tummy, not send it into turmoil. 😊👌

I am a Youth Strength and Conditioning Coach not just for Youth athletes to safely, and effectively achieve their goals, but also for their personal development and growth  in life. I will always lead by example by continuing to grow in my own life. The youth community is our future.

The picture on the left was taken today relaxed and the picture on the right was taken in July sucking in. I felt confident in both pictures and never truly hated the way I looked, but I felt sluggish and had no energy to do anything in the second picture. I ate whatever I wanted and never worked out. In August I came to my dad (@hollywood_jones ) and asked for help. I had tried sooooo many different work out plans from different websites, I would try to run every day and I absolutely hated it. Nothing worked at all and I couldn't stick with anything longer than 2 weeks. My dad explained to me what lifting heavy shit does for you and boy was he right. Girls have this mentality that lifting makes you bulky and huge, but which picture of the same girl looks better?? Lifting has made me mentally and physically stronger. It's helped me lose weight and become a better version of myself. I LOVE BEING STRONG. Please don't drink and drive...someone always loses.

Beachbody has changed my life in so many ways . 
Most importantly I've found the best friends I thought I'd never have and many are more like family 💚
I decided to become a coach for the discount and getting " skinny " but I was given much more . 
Better health & friendships . 
Stronger relationships . 
2 years plus of drinking shakeology and I've only recently had my first sinus cold . 
That's pretty amazing when others are getting flu. 
I wanted to be skinny but now I want to be strong , 💪🏼with muscles and a small athletic  build and I know I'll get there . 
I know because I'm healing from the inside out 💚
I've gotten to where I crave the workouts and it is my stress reliever . 
I've gotten to where I'm consistent in them to get up early ( I'm not a morning person ) and I get up do them . 
I've slid on nutrition but I've been learning how to do better and I will this year . 
This is my year ! 🤗
I've learned I can do things I never imagined and I've gained confidence to share with others who I am . I'm Witty but I don't hind behind it anymore . I've learned to GROW through life instead of just pushing things down and ignoring them . It's human to feel things and I'm owning that . 
I'm in my 40 's and I did my first ever pushups on my toes , chin-up and pull-ups without an assistant band last year .
It's because I believe in me , and my Beachbody family believes in me & inspires me . I want to inspire more people to just do whatever they can .... " Your best will always be good enough ! "
If you are told otherwise then find friends who support your journey to be the best version of yourself . 
You have to believe you'll find them , like i did ! 
My journey is with my hubby by my side because I want him to be healthy too ! 
I was not sure what my life was going to be like with my two children grown . I was feeling so lost and every step I take getting healthier , meeting like minded people , and growing through personal development ...... well it makes me realize everything is going to be okay ! It's going to be great ! This life is awesome & I'm grateful for it .

Day 2 of my TRX training. I am still trying different exercises and still on the process of getting the perfect form. So far i am doing fine for a beginner. I tried to lower my body angle and it was more difficult but felt really good.  My morning grind 😊😊😊 #lift #sweat

Day 15/56 of Made for More ❤🙏🏼💪🏼 Here's a little snippet from my morning workouts. I maxed out 2 minutes longer than last week 💪🏼😁👍🏼! I honestly thought about maxing out at about the 3 minute mark....#truth. I'm glad I got it of my head and pushed myself. 
I wanted to share the modifications for some of the moves from my workouts. It's definitely challenging, but not off limits. Sometimes you just have to find ways to make it work 😊. I modified on quite a few of the core exercises. Was it a waste? Absolutely not, my form was much better on the modification which was allowing me to work my core muscles better. Form is key 😊. .
