"Being a chef is a way of life, a passion. There are definitely some sacrifices I've had to make when I chose to become a chef, but these by far don't outweigh the pleasure it brings me." - Creative Culinary Director and Executive Chef @chefjethrovincent #ulookhotinbikini
@lisasfitnesslife keeping it lean and keen eggs 🍳 for that meal and washed down with IBCAA.
IBCAA is an instant mixed formula that contains 3 of the essential amino acids called Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine. It works perfectly to slowly drip these sources of amino acids into your bound and ensure your body doesn't go into a catabolic state.
Generally IBCAA's are taken by active people through out the day before, during or Post Workout.
LEFT 👉 This morning 🌅 Absolutely no energy, incredibly down, feeling lonely, in such a negative mindset and not even focused
RIGHT 👉 This afternoon/night 🌃 Energy and entirely and only focused on my muscles and exercise ☰
So this mornings efforts were horrible. I could hardly lift anything, I felt like at any moment I was going to breakdown, felt alone, and just totally zapped. Was 30 mins into my workout (if you'd even call it that) and just packed up and walked out. I went home, had 2 breakdowns, watched Transformers, fueled myself with awesome foods and went back to the gym. I went back determined to forget about everything else that was going on at the moment and smash out a booty and hamstring workout 🍑💪 AND I TOTALLY CRUSHED IT!! New PBs 🙌 WINNING 🙌 hip thrusts at 65kg 6r x 5s and squat press 140kg 6r x 5s 👊
Even though I've come back home to a negative environment and slightly feeling down again, I'm so proud of myself! This goes to show how much stress, negativity, your environment and events happening in your life affect you! When you go to gym, forget about everything or if you can't, take it out at gym. Smash through those sets, push yourself and get those endorphins going. Smile, be proud of your effort and if you just can't, then go home, and refuel and refresh yourself 😊
This goes to show how even when something negative is going on in your life, YOU CAN CREATE IT INTO SOMETHING POSITIVE 😘 .
Transformation and Truth Tuesday... I was born with an autoimmune disease and have spent most of my life battling chronic illnesses. It progressed to the point I was confined to a wheelchair. Twice. And my heaviest weight was over 200 pounds.
This picture is the only proof. Although the problem was obviously out of my control, it has been my deep shame, and I tried to keep it secret.
The gym changed my life.
I am now healthy (*knock on wood), a nationally certified Personal Trainer, and an athlete. I left the corporate world because I believe in fitness.
You may know I've recently found the courage to actively pursue my music. I attribute this in part to becoming fit. My life has been a world of "no," "can't," and "not good enough". I found myself in the gym. It taught me to challenge, love, and believe in myself.
If you or someone you know needs help, please message me. My focus as a trainer isn't just body, it is about the mind and spirit. Doing things you never thought possible and then incorporating that courage in your real life.
I understand the struggle. Let me be your coach as well as your partner in changing your life with a tailored training program, consistent support, empathy, and tough love. My specialties are Weight Loss, Strength, Endurance, Functional Training, and finding ways to make working out FUN!!! ✌️❤🤓 “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” - Henry David
Applying creative thinking to your training will prevent boredom and improve your chances of staying for the long haul. Using your creative 'right brain' will add a fresh perspective to your fitness programme and give you the confidence to believe in yourself instead of being dependent on others for ideas. One thing I have learned over the years is that is all too easy to underestimate ourselves and overestimate others in those moments of doubt that steal our confidence. Being creative and experimenting new ways gives you back that confidence, and you also take back your power to be in control of how you want to train. In this photo I am doing some creative pull ups, here is the set up: (a) I designed and had fabricated the 2 inch diameter pull up bars welded to pads that slip into sleeves bolted to the wall, that means I can move the bars down a few feet and also use them for dips and knee tucks and many other exercises (look at the wall and you will see 4 sleeve plates bolted); (b) I put grit tape on the end of the bars to stop my hands slipping and roughen/toughen up the skin and make it deliberately uncomfortable as that builds character; (c) I tied a heavy duty resistance band to a weights belts and a 40kg dumbbell on the floor. This fat bar combo system gives me a variation on the standard pull ups and better serves my martial arts training goals. If you search my posts you will see my good friend @that.fitness.guy Chris Davis doing upside down pull ups on these bars during one of my sessions. Have a great day my Instagram friends you are all awesome. #breakthebullshit#running#fitness#motivation#inspire#abs#chains#pullups#bjj#mma#martialarts#outdoortraining#battleropes#crosstraining#functionaltraining#iron#lifecoaching#kettlebell#weights#boxing#hillwalking#military#bootcamp#muaythai#karate#spartan#warriors#waterbags#oldschooltraining#kickboxing
