I took a couple of days off from working out, because life got a little crazy....but I'm back at it!! I think I'm going to try working out early in the morning again, so I don't miss my window of opportunity, and just get it done and out of the way.
On a side note...I think my balance has improved!! 👐👐

I've seen God heal a marriage (or 2!) He's helped friends put back the pieces of their lives after a terrible loss.
He's helped one of the most broken people I know (who once claimed to be a non-believer) fight through some very dark days.
I've seen Him give HOPE back to the hopeless.
When it becomes to difficult to stand, KNEEL. Even if it's awkward, and feels unnatural and you have no idea what you're doing..if you're willing to open up your heart to Him, He will listen.

I’m also a HUGE fan of cacao/raw dark chocolate! This smoothie is great as it resembles a chocolate milkshake (yum!) and has dark, leafy greens in it and cacao which is an amazing combination when it comes to beauty and wellness.

Play around with the amount of stevia and cacao you like. This is great for breakfast, dessert or a yummy snack!
•3/4 cup full fat coconut milk (unsweetened)
•1/4 cup filtered water (use if needed to make things blend more easily)
•1 ripe banana
•4 handfuls baby spinach
•1 packet organic stevia (or to taste)
•2-3 Tbsp. Cacao powder
•½ ripe avocado
•optional: 1/2 cucumber
•Top with bee pollen (as shown above), cacao nibs or chia seeds, etc.
1. Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!

Sign I’m getting older - looking through old college / studying abroad pictures and cringing about the lifestyle I used to live!
I can’t believe I was treating my body the way I was. I’m very much an introvert, so in order to feel comfortable going out and having conversations with people, I would end up “pregaming” and drinking way more than I should. Case in point - this picture from Rome on a pub crawl!
We ended up getting a free shirt for doing the pub crawl, and I remember feeling so embarrassed when the free shirt I got didn’t even fit me because I had gained so much weight.
Flash forward a few years for #transformationtuesday - I’ve gained so much confidence after working on me. I’ve been working out for 30-40 minutes a day, eating the right portions, drinking my daily dose of dense nutrition, and helping others in accountability groups so they never have to feel the way I did.

With moving back to MN, my trip to Spain, potentially still moving to Spain, applying for jobs, and just plain old life, I've fallen off the wagon a bit.

Less than a month ago when I was going through my clothes, my thighs were trying to bust out of the holes in these jeans! 😂
When I bought them on clearance a few months ago, I couldn't pull them over my thighs!! Almost all my jeans come from express because they actually carry longs. And I always buy when there's a sale because they run sales ALL the time & I'm not about to pay twice as much.
But I accidentally ordered jean "leggings" instead of "skinny". And let's be honest, at that point I wouldn't have fit into either.
Now, they fit perfectly!!! Time. Commitment. Consistency. And refusing to give up.

I know u can see the pain and sweat from my morning upper fix workout. My calorie burn was fairly low but not bad for weights. But that goes to show that numbers don't always reflect what u've achieved or how hard u worked.

Today I didn't want to work out.
I wanted to lay in the couch and eat cookies. (Which I don't even have any cookies but whatever)
But I didnt. I got up. Worked out. Now I'm gonna go make my shake.

Silence can be a good thing...
Some of you might have noticed I haven't been as "vocal" about workouts/fitness in general...so to clear up those questions.. yes I'm still a workout beast... in fact starting p90x week 5 tomorrow...
But why haven't I been posting those super annoying sweaty selfies you ask? Simple, I've been focusing more on the mental and emotional aspect of myself.
Plus, let's be honest.... not every single battle that a person endures should be shared... I'm battling mine away from the "all too public social media eye" and that's cool... -
BUT do not despair, I have some amazing people who are side by side with me in my current battle. -
From family to some super close friends, they've got me. Now, that's love. They're giving me the time, attention and support I want right now. I'm beyond thankful for them. -
So do NOT take my silence as "giving up"... just means I'm upgrading myself. -

I didn't truly understand this until I became a coach.
Yes, I am wonderfully happy being a mother and wife. I have good job, with good people. I'm good at my job. I am grateful for my life.
But being grateful doesn't mean I have to be content. Does your job fill your soul? Does it spark a passion and a purpose?
Tomorrow is Monday and if ur like me, you dread another week of the work grind. You dread the long commute, the time away from my children and my husband.
What I don't dread, is getting to know new people...Helping them identify their goals...providing them the encouragement and support to help them reach their goals.

Back in my younger years, I always felt like my social events and friendships were revolved around going out to parties and drinking. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoying having some beers and playing games, but I've realized there's so much more out there!
I've met some incredible people over the last year who have shown me that it's fun to get together and do a workout together, or have some coffee and chat about our life goals and plan vacations.
When I signed up as a coach a year ago, I wouldn't have imagined how many great new friendships I'd have, or the trips I'd be planning to learn and grow.

..When I left for Florida last Monday, I was on Day 21/30 of Chisel. ..While on vacation, I was plenty active with walking, paddle boarding, kayaking and biking--what a fun change of pace! ..Now that I'm home again, I resumed my Chisel workouts with Day 22/30. Its easy to let yourself get off track when you take a break but with a written out program like the ones offered by Beachbody, I was able to pick up where I left off! This is just one way that these programs allow so many people to be so successful in changing their bodies! >>>Working out is HARD! So is hating the way you look! Choose your HARD!<<<
Most weeks my only alone time consists of a 1-2hr trip to the grocery store. So you better believe I'm trying to make the effin most out of this trip! Cranking the tunes & maybe even treating myself to a cold brew & espresso shot on the way home. #momminainteasy but #momlifeisthebestlife
Life is too short to focus on your problems. Yes, it is our natural instincts to focus on the negative and the problems because that is how we used to survive, but we have to teach ourselves to stop that.
We need to learn how to let go of the problems we can control, to stop being burdened or reduced by imaginary limits that not just society puts on us, but that we put on ourselves.
