"Throughout pre- nursing school, I was criticized for the way I dressed (punk rock with a splash of pinup), my stand out hair colors, tattoos, and piercings (24 to be exact). I was told, "You're not the norm of what a nurse looks like", and in the same breath, was told I was rescinded from the accelerated nursing program; my 3.96 GPA got me 1 of 10 spots in the program, but was quickly replaced with another student who had a 3.87 GPA. I felt so angry and discouraged that all my hard work went down the drain. There were two particular nursing instructor and director who didn't believe I would ever make it, but look at me now... PROUD NURSE RIGHT HERE!!!!! I've proven myself and feel like I'm way above the poopy people they were and probably still are. 🙋🏻👩🏻⚕️💉💊🛠 check out my story for flashback images of me 😄 I did look like a problem child, but I was the exact opposite!" @woodyvino @woodyvino @woodyvino 😊😭😭I want every aspiring Nurse to hear this story! Every little girl and little boy to hear your story. Because everyone is unique in their own special way. You rock, girl! Your Instructors should be ashamed of what they did to you. Keep smiling, you inspire so many. I know I just shared your other photo but, if there is one thing that makes my blood boil, it's prejudice. ❤️Angelina
Excuses.... we ALL have them! Before I made a healthy lifestyle change these were mine:
🌟Not enough time and I'm too busy
🌟I can't do crazy workouts...they're hard 🌟I can just eat less and lose weight 🌟I don't need to workout to be thin
🌟I don't want to be hungry
🌟I don't know where to start
🌟I don't want to waste my money & fail
Looking back I was overwhelmed with fear of failure. I wanted immediate results for zero efforts. Why can't I snap my fingers and be healthy. I was focused on a number on the scale rather than over all health. I had all of these reasons why it wouldn't work and never really thought about what if it DID work? -
Lets go over some of my objections and the reality of Beachbody programs.....
TIME: yep we always complain of not having enough but think of how much time we waste watching tv and scrolling through social media! I was spending hours of my day on those time suckers. 😱 Many people use the the excuse that they're too exhausted to workout. WORKOUTS ARE HARD: yes, they are but there are these beautiful things called "modifiers" and they will quickly become your best friend in the beginning. Every day you'll get stronger! 💪🏼 FOOD: Meal prep only takes about an hour more than a typical dinner prep for me, my food is yummy and super filling! I've never felt deprived or starved like I did with super low calories restrictions. The objective is health but you'll loose weight and feel amazing as a result. #fitnotskinny My goal turned from being thin to being FIT!
FAILURE & UNCERTAINTY: I wasn't sure what to eat and what workouts to do but thankfully these programs spell it out for you! 👌🏼I was worried about wasting my money and failing in front of my friends and family. These programs set you up for success. If you follow them and trust the process you can't help but get results! The programs work if you do!! 🙌🏼
If I can do this, so can YOU! I'm just a message away! 😘➡️email@example.com⬅️

Help wanted boss ladies needed.
I am growing my team and looking for ladies that want to raise the bar. That are committed, goal oriented girl bosses that have a passion for health and fitness or want and desire to get healthy themselves. That have a true passion for helping others succeed.
You don't have to be at your goal weight or have a fitness background to do what I do.
It has been a year and a half since I took a leap of faith and decided to become a beachbody coach and I am so glad that I did.
I have been able to make this work in between a full time job as a nurse, while raising a family and balancing life. I have been able to work this business on my lunch break, in the between of life.
I have been able to help at least 3 people each month get started on their journey and continue to improve their health.
Coaching has helped me be more accountable for my own fitness journey, it has helped me step out of my comfort zone and go with my dreams and desires in life.
If this sounds like something that interests you please fill out this application in my bio and I will get back to you!!!! Drop Your email without the .com
Busy day today, came straight from work to pick up the boys to go to soccer practice. We plan to hit up the golf range afterwards so I had two choices. I could take a rest day and feel guilty, or workout while Conner played soccer.
I chose number 2! I did go behind a tree for some shade and avoid everyone watching me. I still think they did...but I didn't care. I want to know, would you work out in public while your kids practiced or played their sports while a ton of parents around?
Students and faculty from @CUAnschutz volunteered today at Aurora Homeless Connect, a free one-day fair to reach out a helping hand to our local homeless population.
The students provided free medical screenings and helped attendees find the resources they need to assist them in maintaining their health. @auroragov @cucollegeofnursing
