It's a totally different mentality to workout for ENERGY instead of to LOOK a certain way. I can personally attest to that. I spent years working out because I wanted the ascetics. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE love LOVE working out, but the underlying reason I USED to do it to the degree I did was in pursuit of some sort of ascetic result. Yes, I got the ascetics I was looking for .. but I also got unexpected frustration, a front row seat to the comparison game, obsessive eating habits, this feeling that I would never be enough, and numerous health issues because I wouldn't let myself REST. Then one day as I was about to start my workout I had a HUGE mexican stand-off moment and vowed to myself 2 things.. .
1. From that point forward I would only workout in pursuit of my most energized life and leave my ego at the door. .
2. I would not spend more time thinking about my body than I would be thankful for my health and strength. .
BAM. Done. That day LITERALLY changed how I viewed my body and treated my body from that point forward. Now I still LOVE to workout and do so daily, but it's because I feel amazing, and because I am thankful for the health and strength that I have, and because when I focus on the right mentality I have energy that overflows! .
My hope is that my story somehow inspires you to think about how you want to FEEL instead of how you want to LOOK. To see things differently and then move forward differently.. MOVE FORWARD without comparing yourself to anyone else and without beating yourself up for what you think you should be ✌ .

Some of the most amazing transformations I've witnessed weren't just in photos or attached to a number on a scale. .
I care more about WHO you become than what you weigh or look like. . You are CAPABLE of anything. . You are VALUABLE. . You are STRONG .

I did NOT have time this morning, I MADE time. .
We all have 30 mins in our day we can devote to exercise. Period. We always make time for the things that are important to us. Our desire to change has to be greater than our desire to hit snooze, our desire to grab what's easy, our desire to sit on the couch. Let's put our goals into our hands today, and take one step towards them! #ToughLove .

I went back and forth on whether or not I was going to share this or not, cuz well, honestly, it makes me look quite superficial and surface... But maybe I was.
I almost missed out on something AMAZING because I thought that I was 'too cool' for 'that' sorta thing.
No person like ME would do that.
I spent a long time building up my street cred after all. Knowing all the obscure bands playing dive bars and indie flicks playing at the hole in the wall, two theater cinema. "Oh that band, ya I saw them before they were big", "you want on the guest list? I'm friends with the DJ"... I SWORE up and down, that I woukd NEVER be like one 'of those' Army spouses with their little side business. How precious, right?! But then, something changed.
I realized that I had in me, the power to CHANGE others lives!
I let my guard down... just a little, and tested the waters of how someone cool AF like myself ;) would do in a scene like this.
That scene of course, being this coaching biz.
I had EVERY reason to turn away from it, laugh at it, mock the girl that invited me to learn more about it... but there was something inside that said, but maybe you are just 'not cool' enough to GO FOR IT! 😜
And so I did. But I still wondered what my friends would think. Would they judge this odd career I chose? Click 'hide' on my fitness posts? Goodness, were they going to make fun of me behind my back?
The answer is yes, no, maybe, I dunno... but mostly, I don't care!
I'm making a difference in this world. I'm changing women's lives through health & fitness, and also through allowing them a business opportunity! Win/win!
Fear kept me from starting, but look at me now?! I posted earlier that I'll be speaking at one of the LARGEST Beachbody events of the year!! If chasing my dreams, earning an unlimited second income for my family, being able to continue to be a stay at home mom, inspire others to regain their confidence, mentor others to find the same success as I have, and being surrounded by the most motivating and supportive tribe is uncool, well, then call me Queen of the Dweebs!
Is fear holding you back? Whether it's fear of judgement, failure
WHEN IS IT MY TURN? .
That's the question I would ask myself as I scrolled through my newsfeed years ago. I was witnessing so many other people losing weight and getting fit. They looked happy and healthy. They were transforming more than just their bodies. They were transforming their minds as they reached for big, scary goals they set for themselves. AND I WANTED THAT. .
I thought that one day maybe I would just wake up and be fit. I would take every pill, wrap, drink, and quick fix and dream of not having to legit squeeze into the double digit sizes. I thought maybe someone would flip a switch and all of a sudden I would stop making bad food choices and love working out every day. .
The truth is I had to DECIDE. I had to START. It was all up to me. And although it was scary and I had all kinds of self-doubt going on, I took it one day at a time. One foot in front of the other and as I started to lose weight and feel better, I realized what my body was designed to feel like and that helped me to keep going. It takes a commitment. Shut off the negativity and go for it. .
There you go. That's the secret. Stop wishing and start doing. How many transformation stories is it going to take before you start your own? Day 84 of 90 workout COMPLETE!! ✅💦💪🏼 .
Brace yourselves... summer is coming!
That's what my shirt says, if you can see it through all that sweat! ;) And while I'm not here to say that any body can't be a summer body, what I am here to do is offer you CONFIDENCE and HEALTH to have your best summer EVER! 🚫Don't sit pool side while your kids swim 🚫Don't skip the BBQ get togethers 🚫Don't hide from from the camera when memories are being made 🚫Don't dread putting on a swimsuit
