It's always so fun for me to train at my gym at home🤗. Its where I started lifting consistently and seriously almost exactly 2 years ago. It's where it all began.
It's crazy to think about where I started and how far I have come. But Im here right now to remembering the days when I would walk into the gym with no idea where to start or what I was doing like it was yesterday🤔. I remember being SO intimidated (aka NEVER would have taken a selfie flexing in the middle of the gym😅). I remember watching all of the people who looked like they knew what they were doing and trying to copy their workouts. I remember going to the gym being that thing I looked forward to every day. I remember noticing my newbie gains and kinda feeling like hot shit.
I don't always notice progress day-to-day. Anyone who knows me can attest to three fact I'm a SLOW grower😏...BUT, when you look at the big picture, it's INSANE how much I have grown both mentally and physically😈💪🏼. Started off with these and then a back pump. I need to work on leaning back more and locking my elbows. I pretty much fell off the bandwagon working out to my Moms visit a couple of months back. Now to continue this body recomp thing alllllll ooovveeerrr again! Yay, macro counting.
Master throwing around your own bodyweight before adding too much on the bar. Pull ups used to be very difficult for me, but I have worked them into every workout I have done in the past 2 years, and now have made them one of my favorite exercises. I start every workout with pull ups, push ups, and dips to get my blood flowing and get me ready to move some weight. I have in turn gotten much stronger in my lifts, and more toned in my shoulders, arms, and back! If you're not incorporating key bodyweight exercises, you are missing out on the benefits! No excuses for heavier people, because I'm pushing 260! Make it happen! 🏋🏻🙌🏻😎
