Let's talk Omega 3!!! Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid that is key to our good health. There are various balances to the body and one of those balances being Omega-6 to Omega-3. The traditional diet yielded a 4:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3, but here in glorious America with our junk and fast food diet that ratio is on average 30:1. What does this mean? This basically means we set ourselves up for sickness … all chronic illnesses are pro-inflammatory and nothing raises inflammation response like a diet with an out of whack omega-6 to omega-3 ratio. So for starters understand that Omega-3 is essential, cannot be created in your body and it must be obtained from diet. It’s really very simple to maintain a good omega ratio. Think traditional foods and you will be on the right track. After good nutrition is established you can always think about supplementing your diet with flax oil, fish oil, or EFA supplements.
Today I ran for 2.5mi and then went to the GYM and worked on my legs. It is a beautiful day to be at the beach, but I prefer going to the iron sanctuary. Have a great day everyone!

As I start upon my mini cut, im throwing it back to last year- a lot leaner but without much 'shape'
Iv spent the last year (mostly unintentionally) getting fluffy around the outside to build some muscle underneath, and now im ready to chip away at the marshmallow to discover what lies beneath. .
iv given my coach no deadline, as I'm not in a rush and would much rather hold on to muscle.
Finger crossed I can keep some of my bum this time round. I'd well rather a peachy behind than those abs any day.
Ben trying something new, with my new work schedule I'm on the road 5 to 6 day a week now. Gonna try to all three lifts, but with different variations to still get the work in.

A little bit of arm progress. This is pre-workout so I didn't even have my swole on yet. 😜 I still have some excess skin on my upper arms from all of the weight loss, but my "bat wings" have shrunk quite a bit! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 I used to be so embarrassed by my arms that I would wear a sweater every day, even in over 100 degree heat... Which is ridiculous because it's not like people didn't see I was overweight just because I threw a sweater on. 🙄 It's hard to reason with yourself when you're that insecure though. Today I'm so much more confident, and I wish I could go back and tell myself to ditch the sweater. There are still a number of areas I don't love about my body (mostly areas with excess skin), but I'm learning to rock what I've got anyway and work to improve the rest.
