#wellnesswednesday ➡ so a couple of weeks ago I shared this new android app that I'm trying out with you, as a tool for making & maintaining healthy habits. I've shared some screen shots above but not all of them as there's far too many! But this gives you the general gist. #befabulous takes you through the first four main habits & this process looks like it goes on for a good two months... sounds long but it's so that you keep going with small habits & don't add 'too much on your plate' to avoid that other old habit of quitting! It starts off with drinking water first thing & eating breakfast (which I already do), then you can add in some exercise & it has options for all levels of fitness (if I'm in a hurry I'll do the 7 mins of 'get moving' but there's also more intense workouts you can follow. The great thing about this app is that it also prompts you with alarm bells every morning, daily trackers, letters & well done badges! There's also lots of #inspiration with plenty to choose from- #mindfulness#meditation#yoga#exercise#breathingexercises#powernap#focus etc. It has replaced about five apps on my phone! However, I've kept the #calm app, just incase I'd like something different. I'm definitely going to keep going with this & will soon start to personalise my morning, afternoon & evening routines. Herbalife is my job and I wear my uniform proudly each day. I didn't lose 119 pounds and gain 13 lbs of lean muscle starving myself or getting a surgery. I told myself it's now or never and I didn't want someone to explain to my son why his dada died at an early age because of health problems. I wake up everyday and take care of myself. Yes there are time where I do not feel like hitting the gym but when I get there, I get into a zone like no other. I grind hard. Painful workouts turn into warm ups. See these shorts....for me these are "short shorts" normally I would be rocking basketball shorts, board shorts or the knee length shorts. Learning to love myself and my body has been the best thing I have ever done for myself. Yes I take he best products in the world and yes I work hard in the gym. Because it's much cheaper than therapy 💁🏻 Exercise is my way of clearing my mind. It helps me deal with all of the struggles of life. For those 30 minutes I don't focus on anything else that's going on in my world. It's just me and my man Shawn T (at least this morning) pushing my body and mind to be better then it was yesterday. It's amazing how something this simple can completely change your mood.

6 tips... are you ready?
1. Write down your goals. All of them.
2. START! If you don't start, you're going nowhere. Make one change daily to get you closer to your goal.
3. Be consistent! Consistency is key. How you do the small things is how you'll do everything. Your behavior is key.
4. Be realistic! Dream Big but don't be unrealistic. Set yourself up for success and not failure.
5. Do not give up. How will you ever make your dream a reality if you quit?
6. Stop with the BS excuses. Do not allow yourself to make excuses... if you're looking for them, you'll always find one.

My life has been a up hill battle with fitness and health probably all the way back into high school!
No matter what I did it never worked. my thoughts of running died a couple weeks after I started and same with every fitness related ventures. I watched friends go on diets fall of and gain even more. So I new that was not my answer... I knew nutrition plaid a role but what... I had no clue... I knew I wanted to be healthy and I envied my cute sisters who naturally had the drive to run and didn't seem to hang on to un wanted pounds (love ya jess!) I would workout at the gym, did classes in collage, only to fall back into only habits after the classes ended. I wanted health I knew it was important I just felt like I failed at every step! So when @simplyfitwithdeise out to me and asked me to join a nutrition group I though ok I'll give it a shot nothing else has worked! and I found something that has worked for me! For over a year now! And I won't ever go back! I became a coach to help others who struggled like me but also to keep me going! ⚠️Long Post Alert!! (Hopefully you guys will get to know me a little better)
Since I was little I always wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to help people, to cure them, to save lives! For different reasons my Dad thought it wasn't safe for a 16 yo girl to go alone to the big city to study so He offered to me the option of studying International business in my city. I accept but wasn't crazy about it. Later on I loved it, I loved it so much I was a scholarship holder for the whole 5 years for mantaining good grades.
Later in 2012 I started my adventure to learn English in Oakland, California. I enrolled an exchange program called Au Pair. It is about living with an American Family (most of them times or english speakers family). The deal is to help them to take care of the kids and they will help you with your english studies. I enjoyed the experience but at the same time I knew I could do more than that so I started contacting people to make connections related to what I had studied. Long story short Thanks toy consistency I ended up leading a Non-profit organization in California, also being part of the board of directors of the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC, worked with the Colombian consulate in San Francisco and currently helping the Entrepernurial cultural Colombian museum here in Miami.
After all I came to realize that at the end of the day if you are brave enough you will always do WHATEVER makes you happy and what you feel is the right thing to do. Since the beginning I always wanted to be that doctor to help people! Today I am a wellness coach. I help people (that story will be told in another post 😋). And the most amazing part is that I am also taking my business around the world! I am doing International Business.
Everything in life has a purpose! Let it be, enjoy the journey, at the very end everything will make sense to you!!!
